Climate Story Lab Nordic is a platform supporting filmmakers and industry professionals in developing impactful climate narratives and fostering industry transformations.
The Nordic Climate Story Lab is part of a is part of a global series of labs initiated by Doc Society and is hosted by Hum Studio Interactive.
The Nordic platform works across the entire ecosystem - from development to distribution - helping filmmakers craft nuanced narratives, enabling producers to reach wider audiences, and supporting funders and distributors in bringing climate stories to screens.
The first edition of the Climate Story Lab Nordic 2023/2024 supported nine climate films at various stages of production in the Nordic countries. The residential program was designed to support project in the development of their climate stories and their impact strategies. Poetic, humoristic, philosophical, scientific, the expressions are varied and they all contribute to a sense of hope in the midst of the climate crisis.
Since its first Climate Story Lab in New York City in 2019, there have been dozens of editions in all continents. The Climate Story Lab is creating a worldwide community of climate storytellers, showing the power of story to move minds and hearts.
